Questions
The things people ask at the counter.
How long does a transfer take?
Minutes on most corridors. Your family is told by SMS the moment the cash is ready, and you can follow the transfer in the app from the payment to the payout.
What does it cost?
The fee depends on the amount and the corridor, and it is always shown before you pay. The calculator at the top of this page quotes the same fee the counter will charge you.
What does the person collecting need?
The reference you give them, a form of ID, and the pickup code if you shared it. The name on the ID has to match the name you gave us.
Can they be paid on their phone instead of in cash?
Yes on the corridors that support it: M-Pesa, Airtel Money and Orange Money, alongside cash pickup at our counters.
Can I cancel a transfer?
Yes, as long as it has not been collected. Speak to the agent who booked it and they will reverse it. The money goes back to you in full.
What if I send to the wrong person?
Call us before it is collected and we will stop it. Once cash has been handed over against an ID, it cannot be recovered, so check the name carefully on the review screen.
